Hi, nice to meet you!

I'm Megan, a licensed clinical social worker of 10+ years, mental health coach, and accidental social media influencer originally from Columbus, Ohio. I help chronically overwhelmed individuals committed to social change—especially highly sensitive healers, empaths and nurturers—with developing personalized strategies for vicarious resilience. In other words, I help us sensitive folks that give a damn learn to suffer well.

I do this a few ways:

My Instagram.

@trustmeimasocialworker is a community of 40K+ conscious, thinking people - healers and feelers who give a damn and seek to tangibly show up for themselves and community to create positive change...without losing themselves in the process. Known as a candid storyteller, I use my voice to share uncomfortable truths and amplify compelling human rights issues.

If you aren't already, you can follow me here.

As seen/mentioned in:

NPR, PopSugar US, Elite Daily, Forbes and more.

"Megan's compelling voice and advocacy has inspired many to self-reflect, reject bystander passivity and disrupt the status quo in healthcare and beyond."

My Newsletter.

My new newsletter on substack shares mental health education, articles and inspiration in plain talk, no jargon for when you're burnt TF out. I also feature U.S licensed clinicians (for free) who are accepting new clients and opportunities to support community through mutual aid requests. If that sounds interesting, you can sign up here.

Consulting and Coaching.

I use professional coaching to guide individuals through life's challenges. I also work closely with those who have experienced betrayal trauma and racialized violence, especially in situations when speaking up disrupts the status quo. My coaching approach is rooted in compassion, empathy, and radical validation, and I am known for my commitment to real, meaningful support—free from the toxic positivity often found in therapy and wellness spaces.

Here are my current options for 1:1 support:

Virtual Vent Sessions

60 Minutes - $75USD

An active listening and feedback session designed for anyone (including clinicians and other healthcare professionals) who need a listening ear. Vent sessions are a space where you can freely express frustrations, release stress, and unpack any challenges you’re facing. While it’s not therapy, it is an opportunity to feel heard and validated by a professional listener who understands the importance being a good witness. Book this to feel heard and help regain some clarity around next best steps and peace of mind. Interested? Book your 60 minute session here.

What Clients are saying:

"You need Megan in your life! You'll leave your session feeling seen, heard, valued and also fired up about getting back to what brought you to this work in the first place."

"Where do I start?! Since I found your content on IG, I've been a forever fan. On a consistent basis, you remind me that this work is complicated, rest is critical, and things are going to feel uncomfortable (lots of the time!) Connecting with you has also helped me feel connected to the advocacy part of this work."

"Before the vent session I was struggling with communication with a loved one. I felt overwhelmed and sad. After the session I had more clarity and had steps to move forward."

What Clients are saying:

"I felt like I was battling a chronic case of the existential blues. I was feeling seriously disconnected from the social work world. As soon as I booked my appointment with Megan, I felt a bit of ease wash over me. Just knowing I had time with her on the schedule was hugely helpful."

"Megan’s coaching sessions helped me remember that things don't always go the way you think, and that's not a reflection of your proficiency, it's just part of working with humans."

"Coaching helped me remember the importance of bearing witness to people and that privilege is uncomfortable...sit with that. Consider who I am without my occupation and the many ways to contribute to the world."

"I would highly recommend and encourage people to work with Megan. She supports connecting with the deeper parts of the self, identifying and centering genuine needs."
